Rule 800 Bilge Pump

Has anyone using the Rule 800 bilge pump experienced problems with the pump not cycling every two and a half minutes. My pump is 11 months installed and works with the manual on dash switch but the automatic two and a half minute has failed. Fuses are good reset button on dash seems to be reseting. Maybe just a bad pump?

Hello,

It sounds as if the auto side of the pump has failed and would need to be replaced to fix the issue. If the fuses are good for the auto side then I would also check the connections at the pump, you may find an issue there. Otherwise you would need to replace it in order to regain the auto function. Hope this helps.

Thanks Kevin, That's what I was thinking just didn't want to think about getting my fat old body down there to replace. Disappointed it's only 11 months old.

I had two of my pumps fail. But, they were within the warranty period and free pumps were sent out by Rule. You need your receipt. Contact them via web customer service.
 
Are there more than the fuses for pump one and two and if so we're can I find them. 2016 C30. The two I checked are in the cave others I can't locate but the schematic has me thinking I'm missing something. Thanks

Now that said it I checked mine both not coming on 3 min cycle tapped them with a screw driver they started for about 6 cycles then stopped... Started back up when tapped again.
Definitely not correct. Sounds like a bad spot in motor..

Mine did the same thing at about 15 months. Now I carry a spare. Rule has a warranty, but I am not sure you can get them to honor it....

On our R29, changng it isn't as bad as it looks.... just do your arm stretches for a few hours ahead of time. and be careful of the tabs that hold the pump in place.
