Rule-mate 500 gpm bilge pump replacement

I have a 2005 R21 and have to replace my current bilge pump. From what I am reading, newer models may not fit in the current location (under the fuel tank).
Q - does anyone know the maximum measurements, width in particular, of my existing old Rule-mate, or, more importantly, the maximum width of a replacement pump to fit in my R21?
Q - the old bilge pump had a container basket that seems to be glued or mounted on the bottom of the boat. Do I need to glue any replacement pump down in a similar manner to keep it from moving around, and to keep it down in the bottom, but upright?

It’s been a year or so since I sold our 2009 R-21EC and I don’t remember having a bilge pump under the fuel tank. We did have a Rule LoPro 900 GPH pump that fit nicely in the lower part of the bilge right next to where the garboard drain was located in the bilge. It doesn’t have to be mounted. Hope this helps.
