I am outfitting our new 21ec and would like to have a fresh water wash down at the stern. Has anyone done this? Please share if you have, I'd like to shorten the trial and error portion of the project! I'm especially curious about how to route the plumbing.

Hello Tortugas!

It was good meeting you and your wife at the Aplachicola gathering.

I plumbed a fresh water port on the stb side of the pilothouse. I simply inserted a 'T' in the existing FW plumbing. Get the Outlet of your choice. I chose mine because it is flush...nothing to snag yourself on. I run a hose to the swim step for evening showers or rinsing off.

Hello Tortugas!
I added a T connector like Dave, drilled a hole in the lower starboard wall of the sink storage area, ran high pressure hose through the hole and under the door track. I had to pull the fridge to access the hose and then ran the hose back to the starboard fender storage area. Then, I drilled a hole in the teak cupholder and installed a shower head. I will take a few pictures and post when I can. Eric

Thanks guys! Lots of help, looking forward to seeing your pics.

My solution was easy and effective. I have a male thread fitting on the FW faucet. I bought about 20 feet of kitchen spray tubing from Lowes with one end fitted with a female fitting and the other end a regular kitchen shower sprayer. I keep it neatly coiled in a bag in the back locker. When we need a rinse I just hook the hose up, turn on the pump and we have fresh water. Works like a charm!

Cheers!

Karl

Thanks Karl! Sounds painless! I'll check our faucet to see if your solution will work for us.
