When I turn on the nav lights at the helm station the panels and meters, compass, port and starboard running lights and 360 steaming light at the top of the mast all light. According to the regulations, a 360 degree light at the top of the mast and the port and starboard running lights are all that is needed. The anchor light only lights the 360 light at the top of the mast, as it should.
However, I see many light fixtures on the transom. The courtesy lights down near the swim platform work as they should. I think the other light fixtures on port and starboard are for trailing. I also see a dual light fixture where a stern light would normally be located. Is this light a stern light or part of the trailering configuration? The manual labels them as running lights. Are they stern running lights or trailer lamps. The light does not work when I turn on the nav lights, the others are fine.
