When the window won’t slide and/or the latch falls off, here is the advice from Sea Glaze:
To get the windows sliding smoothly, wash the window tracks of all salt and contaminates….hot soapy water and tooth brush should get the tracks clean.
1) If the handle is still attached to the glass it can be removed by cutting the adhesive and tape with a razor blade.
2) Clean the area of glass with Isopropyl Alcohol where the handle will be attached.
3) Place a bead of adhesive on the new handle in location noted below. (Location is unclear in their diagram)
(3M 5200 recommended)
4) Remove backing from double sided tape.
5) Place new handle in desired location and press firmly.
6) Let dry for approx. 24 hours before use.
