The control is above the helm, you also have a breaker on the 12 volt panel that will need to be turned on first.

To operate the searchlight:
1) The NAV LIGHTS switch on the dashboard DC Distribution Panel must be ON (at least on my boat)
2) The SEARCHLIGHT switch on the DC power panel must be ON
3) Then operate using the searchlight panel above the helm:
SOS: dot- dash with auto-sweep
Arrows: auto-sweep
S: slow motion
F: fast motion
