Seat compatibility

I noticed on the 29s you use a new helm seat design for forward and back ward seating position. My question to the factory would be if this design could be used in a classic r27 on the port side where there is currently a stack of multiple seats accumulated to achieve the same functionality. Is the width, height and depth suitable to be installed on the r27 which would allow to shed a few pounds. In general the new design looks more elegant than the sandwiched r27 seat type.

Can the r29s folding mechanism be purchased without the cushions and half of the r27 cushions be reused (I presume not) and how much would that seat go for. I am referring to pictures I saw in the new kismet r29s.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately the design around the new style flip seat used in the R29 and R27 (outboard version) was incorporated into the boat. Not sure how this could work without some additional engineering to the prior versions.
