I’m wondering what the weight capacity is for the aft fold-out seats in a C30, and the command bridge benches? I have a large friend and I may need to direct his seating on the boat. Most furniture comes with similar specifications so I imagine Cutwater/Ranger have some guidelines...

Are you concerned about comfort or stability? I have often found that seats are listed for about 200lbs.

Perhaps there is a custom marine upholstery and seating shop in your area and you could ask them about "bariatric seating"

There's an entire line of regular seating with that term, and a good shop might be able to help you.

Good luck.

I always tell people that the seats will hold the weight of who can fit on them comfortably. I weigh about 180 lbs. and two of my size people is not an issue on the seats.

Thank you,

At my size I’ve found the foam in just about everything, RVs, boats, futons, beds, chaise lounges, etc. seems to give up fairly quickly.

I have a copla pieces of 4 inch, 40 pound foam I keep in pillow cases on the boat and slip underneath me if we’re going any distance or sea conditions are sloppy.

I’m 6’4”, 185 on my drivers license (my DMV weight) and around two fifty in real life.

Thank you for all your input. Based on Andrew’s comment, 2 people at 180 lbs. should be ok, so my friend on his own might JUST make it. I’ll watch carefully!

Now you’ll have to consider a life jacket that fits.
