This is my second request to Ask Ranger Factory. Any reply would be appreciated.

We have a 2012 R29 Sedan. The lazerette cockpit hatch latches are leaking. The internal O rings have disintegrated. Do you have OEM replacements? Can you guide me to who made the hatch latches and may have replacements or replacement parts?

(1) I think most of the techies are at the boat show (ends today?). I think they have been stretched pretty thin this past week.
(2) I have had great luck contacting IVAN in tech support - he has saved my bacon more than once.

Hi there,

Unfortunately we do not have these seals as replacement parts, as they come already installed with the latch assembly. Sorry about that. The site link that Submariner posted may be a good place to ask for replacement seals, as those latches are pretty identical to what we use. Sorry I can't be of more help but let me know if you have any additional questions.

This discussion came up on TugNuts a few years back. Many Tugs and Cuts were having water intrusion issues into the cockpit storage areas. Many had rotten wood after a few years. It was found that many were not sealed with sealant when the latches were installed. The other issue was failed o-rings. that caused water leak path down the latch handle shaft. This is a thread about this issue.
