R-23 (Outboard)
There's a couple modifications I want to do when I finally bring Sea Holli (R-23) home from Pocket Yachts.
1. I'd like to convert the head from raw water to fresh water flush. I'm sure someone here has done this and ask, How did you run the fresh water line, and where did you tap into it? I'm also going to add a Rite Fill flow meter to keep tabs on how much fresh water I use, and how much is going into the holding tank.
2. Fresh water shower in the cockpit. Same question, how'd you run the water line(s) ((If you also ran hot))
Some other things I plan on doing;
Big Orange waste tank vent filter
Magnetic screen door - one for the door, one for the big lift up window. Trimmed of course.

Storage bins and hanging clothes bar for the cave.
Mount the grill.
Dinghy motor mount. This has been kicked around. The R-23 has a big loop for the swim step rail. This lacks the "T" needed for the mount. I found this item. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FD ... UTF8&psc=1
I'm thinkin', bolt the mount to this. Mount the Folbe to either a horizontal or vertical rail. Should hold my 12lbs Cruise n Carry motor. (I received the Folbe today, it is substantial)
A bunch of comfort items, wine rack, paper towel rack, Activecaptain station for the First Mate. I might have to use the IPhone 6, and this mount. Which I use in my POV and work Truck.

Lastly, (aren't you glad) A mount for the generator on the swim step to be used as needed.

We just use the sink faucet to fill and flush with fresh. Already there and simple.

I considered switching to a freshwater flush before adding the vent filter per the link above. The smell is gone with the filter and no need to change to freshwater flush. When fresh water is desired we also just use the sink faucet as well.

I believe that your new R23 will come equipped with a waste tank filter.

I’m in the process of adding a Fill Rite Flow/Tuthill meter and had the devil of a time finding the fittings to go from the meter to 3/4” hose. The meter’s ports are NPT threads and the common advice is not to use nylon fittings below the waterline. Marelon fittings have incompatible threads. I’m using a bronze bushing and bronze tailpipe from West Marine. Part numbers 307884 and 431611 apply.
I bought the Tuthill version:

which has less metal to corrode.

If you have a Raritan head the kit is 119.00 direct from Raritan. Easy to install, it requires removal of raw water line and installation of fresh water (tap in for this was a tee directly off the fresh water pump) and wire the relay valve to exiting power from the pump and a 5amp fuse. Advantages, quiet flush, less odor, large reduction in waste line build up when used in salt water. Disadvantage it uses your freshwater supply, 2 people on board approximately 2 gallons a day.

Cockpit shower -hot/cold I teed off hot water and cold water lines going into the hot water tank. Assuming your hot water tank is located in the cockpit area of the boat. the unit I installed there was just enough room for it to fit in the transom walk-way.

Grill and engine mount combined, I had a hard time coming up with real-estate on the stern of the boat, we have an enclosure and also have a Aluminum rib that is on the platform and do not have a platform rail. I made this bracket ,1 foot of 2" aluminum angle, three SS U-bolts, 18" 7/8 SS tubing and the cup that fits into the bottom of the grill is Stainless pipe that I machined but that part can be made by a Fab shop. It was cheaper then anything I could buy and takes up less room.

Go thru the Albums there are so many good storage ideas. Good luck with your projects.
