I have seen much on this forum about Sharrow but found this at Hull Truth. https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-fo ... ps-65.html
Just installed a new Sharrow MX3 propeller on our 2019 Ranger Tugs R-27.
I gotta say, it does wonders for this boat! 16-mph cruise at 3000 rpm! Before, it plowed along at 10 mph at this rpm.
Just what we were looking for, a boat that cruises efficiently in the 15-25 mph range. (We have no interest in cruising in the 30-40 mph range.)
I think this prop makes the boat behave a lot more like the old inboard version - although it doesn’t take away the high top speed of the outboard.

(Data Comparison Graph jpg here) (When I upload this jpg and try to post, I get the message: "You are not allowed to post URLs until you have at least 10 posts"!) ???

Data gathered with tanks half full, one person aboard, light chop, average of upwind/downwind runs.

Anyone else here have any experience?

Would like to see what your fuel burn (gph) and economy (nmpg) are at these rpm and speeds.
Our 2021 R27 exhibits the same poor performance in the 15 to 20 knot speed range.
Thanks,
Chris

If you follow that thread at The Hull Truth, you will find a chart and a graph of his Sharrow test. Mid range results seem really good.
