Weather looks pretty fair into next week. Wondering if any central Sound tugs want to join me for a Christmas shopping cruise up to PortTownsend Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

Which Port Townsend marina are you thinking of using; the Boat Haven or Point Hudson ? Point Hudson allows reservations for a slip while the other is on a first come basis. Also Point Hudson is closer for getting into Port Townsend's down town area.

I had a terrible time docking my R-27/OB at Port Hudson early this year with a 20 mph southerly wind and having to dock on the lea side of a slip. It took me 5 attempts to get a docking line secured after being blown off the first 4 attempts... and it didn't help being Solo at the time.

Would you be going via the Portage Canal ?

Yes hudson to be close in unless weather makes the other ones better option. Yes I’d take the canal.
