as I get the boat de-winterized, I find the shower sump not pumping out.
I did some diagnostics and I don't believe I have any power to the float switch.
I looked at the wiring diagram on the website (thanks), and I need to find the 12v House Buss block and check the 20A fuse - the stereo, shower, washdown and stove are on the buss also. I cannot find it though.
QUESTION - where is the 12v House Buss Block? Ranger 25 2009.
any other ideas for troubleshooting this problem?
thanks

On my R25 the shower sump fuse is wired directly to the house buss which if just inboard of the house batteries and Gebset. There are separate house and Thruster/anchor buss bars plus a ground bar. There is no separate engine buss bar. The buss is a simple copper bar conductor which is covered by a black plastic "protector". My tug does not have the fuses labled but I think the shower fuse is a 20amp fuse on a brown wire (my memory so limit your risk on this info).

Thanks Commader Bill - I found the fuse - blown. replaced and the pump started working. But this is not good. the sump was empty and the float should have been off. I then noticed smoke coming from the float switch. I turned power off and removed the float switch which was fried. I will replace the switch and be all ok. thanks for your advice on the buss block location.

The reason I knew where the fuse was is that I had a previous problem with my float switch sticking and the sump pump continuing to operate without any sump level. You have to pull the fuse just to stop it. My level switch was stuck. Isn't the sump in a wonderful location - such ideal access for someone with 60 year old arms and bad back.

commander bill, I just crawled out of a lazarette where I'm installing components and wiring for an auto pilot. At 73, with cervical and lumbar problems, I sometimes wonder why I keep doing these things.
