My shower sump pump runs constantly, other than pulling the fuse, any suggestions?
Thank you,

How much water is staying in the shower container? Have you totally emptied the container to see if the pump turns off. Is there water being pumped out the port shower discharge when the container is full? Does the pump use a float switch ? It could be stuck.

There is a backflow preventer in the discharge hose on my ranger 27 2011 this backflow preventer like a duck bill head totally deteriorated and the water was just being recirculated and not pumped out.

The shower sump is empty. Not sure about the float switch.

On mine there is a small lever on one end of the float that can be used to test the float. Move it up and down to test the float on and off and free the float. If it never turns off replace the float switch.

I had the same issue with the pump staying on. I replaced the float switch TWICE. Once I realized what a POS the shower sump assembly was I then installed a Rule 750 GPM bilge pump with internal float switch AND mounted an external switch out side in the fiberglass below the bed. The switch must be on for the bilge pump to work or can be shut off allowing you to clean it once you calm down. Yes I installed the pump in the shower sump box, with a little adjusting. There is a small risk the shower sump switch could get bumped and be in the off position. It becomes quite obvious when the shower drain backs up. Easily rectified with a high pitched voice requesting the wife to turn the switch on (same voice used when you discover there is no toilet paper).

Hope this helps, Leon

Love the description of communications, however unless you have a 6" outlet on the sump, it was probably a 750 Gallons per HOUR pump.

This is a common problem. I think it is an issue with the float actually bounding a lot when trailering and also lack of cleaning with a solution regularly. Eventually it happens and usually can result in dead batteries. I hit the problem before it happened. I simply cut the power lead and then installed a spring loaded rocker switch, which is always in the off position until pressed. I installed it in the center below the sink in the cabinet wall. When taking a shower when the water starts to back up just press the switch until there is no more water to pump. Even if the float is working the function will be the same. This set up to manually turn on the pump has been a common setup on other boats that I have been on. I am not sure why Ranger does it this way.

I pulled the fuse for now. I'll research replacing the pump and installing a manual switch. Rarely use the shower, I don't see a need for a float switch.
I installed a 12" hose to the galley sink, I shower on the swim step. (in a bathing suit, unless it's dark and no one is around.) 😀
