I've not seen this suggestion mentioned in the recent shower discussion(s), especially the cockpit shower feature.

The very first addition/change I made to our R-25 was to change out the shower wand with one that had a water shutoff button as suggested to me by Bob of Nellie Too.

This type wand not only allows you to conserve and easily control the shower water but will also avoid you having to use the shower handle to adjust water flow while sitting on the head lid. It would also be very useful when the shower wand is routed through the cockpit porthole for showering.

I don't recall where I purchased my shower wand but I know it was not expensive.

One could simply insert a shower on/off switch or replace the wand having a built-in integral shutoff button for this purpose. I personally think the latter is best for easy control.

For example... simple inline on/off switch.

I'm unaware if Ranger Tugs has made a similar change for the shower wand on their newer models. If so we should thank Bob. 😀
