also you will need one of the aux switches on for the bluetooth connection to be energized.

All the components on the backside of the helm are either Garmin or Lewmar, no SidePower. But the good news is the remote worked after I turned on “ACCY 1” switch at the helm. I’ll keep an eye out for the receiver.

Glad your solution was simply flipping a switch. For future reference, the receiver is a small back box that is usually found directly under, but separate from, the thruster control toggles. Remove the four small triangular plastic covers at the corners of the toggle, unscrew and lift the toggle assembly out. A rat’s nest of wires will follow and the receiver is somewhere in that mess.
