Has anyone let a c28 sit in the mud at low tide? For instance if the water hit 24” at dead low? Obviously nothing could be running. Just curious if there are any thoughts?

Regardless of boat, sitting in the mud is not a catastrophe. I have even brought my boat up to the shallows and let the tide go down and she would list and then I cleaned the bottom on one side. Waited for the next ted swing and did the other side.

no problem should be experienced. heck the boat is designed to be gently beached with the bow ladder.

I can't speak for the Cutwaters, but I know of many fishermen here on the coast of Maine that daily let the tide go out from under their boat and the boat sits on the mud until the tide comes in again.

if you are planning on mooring in such a location, just know that you might wear out your bottom paint more quickly as it rubs the bottom

It would be a good idea to make sure your sea strainers are all free of debris before you restart your engine, genset or A/C.
