I want to drain the oil from the drain plug on my 110 hp 4jh4 hte. I can't find the socket size I need to remove the plug.
I think it might be a 25mm socket. Anyone know for sure? I intend to drain as much as I can and replace the drain plug with an EZ plug. I feel that removing oil through the dipstick is not getting enough oil out.

I don't know the socket or wrench size. I would guess 24 MM based on it is a 16MM x 1.5 thread. I have seen some metric plug drain plugs 16 MM x 1.5 thread that use a 17 MM cap nut. So my guess is either 24MM if the cap nut feels large in size or 17MM.

If you can get at the plug and install the EZ plug I agree that is a better way of draining the oil. I have that set up on my 4LHA STP Yanmars with a Reverso oil change system attached to the EZ plugs.
