I am not used to flat skylights such as are in our boats and have a concern.
We have had rain events here in the San Juan Islands in WA the past two days and yesterday the rain lasted for hours, with that possibility again today. I am noticing standing water on some of the skylights and wonder if the seals will need to be checked regularly? If so, what specIfically should we check for, hardening or softening of the sealant?
I have 8 skylights on the pitched roof of my 26 yr old home, and the flashing is what might wear, if I understand, whereas as I am lookIng up in the v-berth, I am concerned with the standing water...
Have any of you experienced any problems or had any concerns? I did not find this topic listed so perhaps it is not an issue...?
Thanks in advance.
