I generally trailer and have no need for a sling, but on an extended cruise it may be necessary. Can the factory provide the proper locations for slings to lift the R25SC model?

Put my boat in at Anacortes with their sling and even with an exposed transducer it has never been a problem with competent operators. After the first time it is strictly no worries. They even jack the boat off the bunks to insert and manipulate the sling to the “best” balance locations.

Todd:

Not sure about the R25 sling locations but for reference we had our R27 lifted by sling. When done the forward sling was just behind the front windshield and the aft sling was positioned where the center of the engine is. Our R29 has sling markings and the front one is located center of the port/starboard front sliding window, while the rear marking is about center of the engine. If you have your boat slinged at Lefroy Harbour (Great Lakes Rendezvous) they are a Ranger Tug dealer and will know your boat for proper sling locations.

Are there specific points structurally reinforced to take the weight on the slings, or is it more about balance? I would think the balance would change with how the boat is loaded, so there must be some wiggle room for adjustment of the sling points?
