Planning a July ‘24 trip with Cutwater 28, trailering from Minnesota to Clarkston WA—then Snake/Columbia down to Astoria. Any suggestions, advice, Do’s, Don’ts, etc. appreciated! (Also: best launch site on Lake Coeur d’ Alene?) Thanks!

If you PM me I can give you a lot of information as I moored my boat on Coeur d'Alene and have done the Snake River as well. I can also give you another lake recommendation that, depending upon what your goals are, might be even more interesting than Coeur d'Alene.

I would recommend the Columbia, Willamette and Snake River (River Cruising Atlas) by Evergreen Pacific, last I looked they had them on Amazon but probably any book store would be able to get you a copy. Bob

Be warned, Columbia river charts are not accurate regarding sand bars. The sand bars move around a lot
