Solar Panel Installation - Help!

We are going to install a solar panel and charge controller on Starry Night.

Has anyone who installed such a setup have lessons learned on equipment, connection or results?

Which brand and size solar panel(s)? Which charge controller panel?

Are you using flooded batteries or Gel?

The tugnut members Island ranger and lucky fin have solar on there 25's. If you go to Island rangers photo album you will see pic's of his install.
I am putting solar on my 29 when we get it in March. What has worked for the guys on the 25's and what I have got for my 29 are two KC-130 watt panels. The kind of controller you go with depends on what your house batteries are. One of the best controllers out there is a mx-60 outback. This is a good controller if you are going with AGM batteries. I think that mac went with a morningstar controller. They say that they are never without power. They would be better then me to talk to on the matter for I am just in the designing stage myself. What I do have is some good websites to go to for the best deals. I have also put together a excel spread sheet that will do your power management math for you so you can figure out your amp hour use. I will email that to you or anyone who wants.
