Inquiring minds will want to know......The frig has been on for a week and the batteries are fully charged. Last check they were putting out 10 amps. The factory installed two AGM group 31 batteries with two group 27. Along with a 40 amp converter. Mac of the Island Ranger put me on to the 130 Watt panels and the regulator. Thanks to all. After all my years of boating I think my problems are solved. Well at least on the battery front.

And the beer will always be cold!

Glad to hear that the panels are working for you. They are probably larger than you need in Florida, I was calculating based on British Columbia.

So, do you also sit and watch the "free" electricity flow back into the batteries while sipping on a cold one?

Hi Captain D. What, if you don't mind my asking, was the cast of the solar panel install minus the new batteries.

Hi Russ,
Two solar panels and regulator was about $1500 . There is a thread by Max of the Island Ranger that went into all the details. It might be on the C-Brats.

We hope to be down that way with the Lucky Fin. Hope to see you down there. To cold up here. We put off putting the boat in the water for the last week. Gave me a chance to get a few things done, like getting my Sirius radio working. Folding bikes, rod holders and the like.
