There are a few spots on my cabin sole finish which are starting to wear. Based on the spring maintenance video, it seems like the 1000 grit sand and urethane route is the way to go. Can someone confirm?

thanks Knotflying! I did see that product in the "urethane" section of the spring maintenance video, but they never explicitly said that the flooring was included in the scope of where to use it. Sounds like it is, based on what you're saying. I did get the clear satin finish and 1000 grit sandpaper as they outlined in that video 🙂

Hey there dbsea,

Knotflying is right. We use the Minwax product for a lot of our wood surfaces. To be clear, we purchase the t&h soles and cockpit overhangs from our vendor already finished, and I cannot vouch for exactly which product they use, but others have used the Minwax on those surfaces with great results. If done properly, it should treat you well. Hope this helps.

Cheers!

I redid the cabin sole on my boat with the MinWax product. Worked out very well.

Aloha Ralf,

Can I get the vendor info for your T&H soles, I have a 2019 C30 CB and the cockpit overhang is ruined and I would also like to replace the vinyl lining in the salon with the T&H.
