Does anyone carry a spare prop onboard? I just purchased a spare Yamaha aluminum prop that would get me home for my soon to be delivered (11/1) Hero Red R23. Part number 6G5-45941-00-00 (15.25 x 15) not an exact match, but it would do the trick. It was about a third of the price of the ss prop.
 
I carried spare props on my C-Dory and sterndrive 26-footer. Always possible to bang one up hitting floating wood, with an outboard or sterndrive boat. Over many years/miles, have had to swap out a damaged prop quite a few times.
