Spring Cleaning

Sunday was such a beautiful day here in Anacortes (spelled "paradise"). Ida and I went down to the marina and spent the day cleaning "Adventurer" and getting ready for a summer of cruising the San Juans. With all the rain we have been having, I reminded myself that we don't have to "shovel" it. There was very little wind and the Padilla Bay and Guemes channel was glass smooth. We just could not resist taking "Adventurer" out for a ride up the channel to just enjoy the afternoon. The local area is beautiful to look at and lots of wildlife to see. The marina was busy with people working on their boats. Ida and I loved living in Alaska for all those years, but we could not have made a better choice to move here to Anacortes in retirement.
