Below is my list of Spring problems. Any ideas. Do people have similar number of problems?
1.) Water Heater discharge - drain hole clogged, 30 gallons water under forward berth floorboard. Solution in progress we hope.
2.) Fresh Water pump leak - pump cycles on momentarily once a minute - how do I find what’s leaking?
3.) Augur stuck in starboard engine weep hole, in attempt to fix problem #1. Is about 20 feet in and can slide back and forth, getting hung up on one spot. Might I be able to pull through and out other end, wherever that might be.
4.) FIXED - Brown tint fresh water - Flushed Clorox out.
5.) FIXED - Solar panel display stuck - removed plug, reconnect.
6.) FIXED - Lazarette overflow. Removed drain plugs.
7.) PEND - Auto guidance on chat plotter. Ordered new chip.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Joe

Oh yes, plus some upgrades.

Had a break on the mast welded - done
Replace defective wiper motor - done
Change out fuel filters (both) - almost done (I have them)
Wax the boat - half done (hard to do in the rain)

Upgrades:
Add gauges for voltage (all 3 banks), engine temp and oil pressure - waiting on oil pressure gauge to complete install
Add locks to engine cover and aft storage - half done

Yes, I had maintenance items as well.

If you have the D1-30 engine I'd be interested in your Temp and Oil Pressure set-up. What you used, where you tapped into the engine, where you installed the guages in the cabin etc etc.

Here’s my list of this seasons simple tasks, upgrades and maintenance for the season. As the boats get older the lists get longer!

TO BE DONE
Check fuel pump clamps per Tugnuts
Install flow meter and exhaust temp
sensors
Oil Change at 800 hours mid-season 2020
Touch up bottom paint
Wash and wax hull
Clean grill
Confirm summer storage

COMPLETED
Flush fresh water system
Install solar panel and controller
Fix trailering running lights on boat hull
Fix port solar dock light in cockpit
Replace engine & thruster batteries
Permanent mounts for bug screen
Add Bluetooth to stereo
Four trailer tires replaced
Re-thread stern tie/flagpole bolt holes to 1/4” by 28
Install SmartPlug
Buy spare radiator cap & BMW Blue Coolant
Patch rear door screen
Clean up mouse fur stains and cabin carpet
Oil all interior teak
Light in Head - replacement with LED
Buy new screens for hatches
Check level at coolant cap - add if needed
Replace cigarette plug at helm
Replace faucet head in galley
Replace engine pencil, thruster, trim tab and prop zincs
Buy kerosene for stove
Remove mouse fur and replace with vinyl headliner in V-berth
Repair Bimini canvas stitches and snaps

PS: The size of this list is typical for the work done each year off season. It changes from year to year but the number of hours of work stays pretty consistent.

Yeah, welcome to boat ownership. We've just got a little '09 R25 classic and in addition to the routine maintenance we spend $3-5K every year on either major maintenance or upgrades. A couple of seasons ago it was complete replacement of trailer brakes/hubs with all ss. Last year we added an outboard kicker/auxilliary. This season replaced windlass and will replace the full enclosure canvas. Etc, etc. I'm not even going to mention fishing/shrimping gear, dingy, etc.

If you disconnect the water supply to the heater and plug then you can narrow it down to half of the system. If it still leaks it's in the cold water. If not it's on the hot side. Then you basically have to eliminate each place that faucets connect.

I'd be happy to if I can ever figure out how to post pictures.

There are two ways to embed images in your posts.

If the picture you want to include is in one of your gallery folders (on Tugnuts), click on the g2Img button. That will open another window which will allow you to browse your galleries and select a picture. Be patient, it can take a while for the new window to populate. It should default to your album when it opens.

Click the box in the upper left of the picture you want to post. Scroll (way) down to the bottom of the window and click Submit. That will attach the picture to your post.

If the picture isn't in your gallery, perhaps something you've seen elsewhere on the web, or in another personal web collection (i.e. flickr, iCloud, google, etc.) then you click the Img button. The image/collection must be open to the public.

This will create the following string in your posting window - then you copy and paste the URL (http://whatever...jpg) of the desired image in the middle, between the ][ brackets. The trick here is to determine the direct URL of the image. Various image hosting sites show it in different ways. Sometimes it's right up in the address bar. Other times it's listed under "Share This Image", etc.

You can determine if you have the correct URL by hitting the Preview button. If it displays, you're good to go. If it's not correct, the form will give you some kind of clue so you can go back and dig around. You'll only have to figure it out once for each host.

Cheers,

Bruce

Thanks for the info. I think I now have it figured out and did post at least one image.
