I have been working through a list of projects on my new to me 2014 C-28. I can’t thank the folks on this forum enough for all the posted information that has made these projects easier.
1. Wiper motor replacement. Great information posted on how to remove the wiper (and be patient doing it) from the motor arm. It’s off and a new motor is arriving tomorrow. For the new one, where is the right place to connect in the wiring? Close to the motor or further back but under the ceiling paneling? How does the ceiling paneling get removed, if necessary?

2. Engine hatch hydraulic lift. It wouldn’t close. Again all the info on this sight led me to determine that it was low voltage from the house batteries not triggering the solenoid to allow return flow. Under shore power there is no issue. New house batteries on the way. Also this site provided instructions on how to access the hydraulic fluid reservoir so I could fill it appropriately.

3. While I had the rear seat out, I was able to inspect the grounding system conductors for catholic protection and replace a failed conductor.

So now my newbie questions of “what are these?” Pictures of the items in question below are in my photo album "What are these"
1. I have several of these parts, plastic brackets. Not sure what they are for.

2. What is this extra railing for? Grill mount?

3. Are these intended for Bimini posts?

4. What are these attachments to the bow railing? There is one on each side with a cotter pin.

5. This was an aftermarket installation. A gulper pump in the starboard lazarette locker. It has a hose to pull water and discharges via a through hull above the swim step. What was/can this be used for?

Thanks again for all the insight and expertise!

Your first pic, or item #3, is for holding a downrigger ball

And yeah, seems like previous owner added an extra rail #2 for their own purpose, amongst several other personal additions.

Number 5 the pump with suction and discharge overboard is used for a live bait box / tank.

Item #1 is a plastic mp3 music player holders. The Fusion 700 radio came with an assortment of these to hold and insert various styles of music players in the radio. You only ever need one for what ever style music player you have, if you even still have that original Fusion Radio installed and working. I believe the newer version of the radio, #755, does not use these and operates with blue tooth connections to your phone or directly from a CD.
