I have a 2017 C30. Just got new batteries; probably not related. There's a high pitched short squeak about every 30 seconds that as best I can determine is coming from an area behind the fusion stereo in the forward stateroom. Lots of cables running through that area. Everything seems to be working fine, but obviously something's amiss.
Would love to find the source of this little annoyance.
Is help on the way? Suspect factory knows what's up

Check that the cabin monoxide unit is secured to bulkhead properly. I had a similar noise as you've described and found one of my grandchildren had bump themselves on the unit and dislodged it a tad and it made the occasional squeak noise. The squeak was such that is was quite difficult to pinpoint the source until I saw the cabin monoxide unit askew on it mounting in the fwd stateroom.

Usually the last thing you did is related to the issue. Definitely sounds like what Baz said. The CO detector is usually a direct connection and runs all the time and has a fuse. The "chirp" is usually either a time expired warning or a low battery voltage. It could be a coincidence that your time expired. They are usually good for 5 years. Mine lasted eleven and I replaced it prior to selling the boat.

Squeak was due to malfunctioning CO detector in front cabin. Needs to be replaced and pulled fuse to stop alarm till I can get unit replaced.

They now sell sealed battery operated ones that last a pretty long time.

Yah, my wired Xintex started chirping this spring and I went with the internal battery model (Fireboy Xintex Model CMD5-MB) where the battery is supposed to last 7 years. GF
