After 4 seasons on Sweet Pea, we figured out storage solutions that work for us. A few unusual customizations include an extra 40 gal water tank and fresh water flushing system for the engine. View images in folder labeled customizations: http://www.tugnuts.com/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=45759.

Some great stuff there.

Thanks for posting!

Looking at a new R25SC and one of the issues in moving from a C-Dory 23 Venture is the loss of usable storage. You have found a lot of great answers. I particularly like the idea of the doors to access the cave. May I ask from where you sourced these doors and surround?

If you are looking to buy a new boat from the factory, make list of the special items you want on the boat and include them in your offer to buy. They won't likely do it after the fact but if you make your needs clear up front and if they can get the parts or make them they will often do it to make the sale. In the case of the storage doors for the cave I think the factory has done quite few of those. They may even be a standard option now. It's a lot easier to have as much of this done at the factory as possible and when you are buying a boat you have some leverage to get a good price.
