We're having a good show in St. Pete. Getting the usual love for the Tugs which is always great. I really wanna thank Mr. Roger Haviland and his wife for talking with some potential Tugnuts and giving them his honest opinion about the vessel. Of course it was nothing but great news.
If you're in the St. Petersburg, FL area and wanna come check out the 2012 R27 & R29 please go to will call and ask for tickets under Wefings Marine or Ranger Tugs. Come directly to slots 706 and 705 and I'll be glad to show you why Ranger Tugs is top of the line!

Traveling to the island of Saipan on business so St. Pete is too far from me this time but is there any way we can get pictures of the factory installed dingy option on those yachts?

Here are a few shots of the davits and stand-offs on our R29, a shot of the whole set-up on a sister ship while underway, and the dinghy in the water, Vicki at the oars.

Cheers,

Bruce

Here are a couple on our R 27 at the show .Ill get more tomorrow as we are done for the day .

Who went to the show? We were there today to see if the latest C28 had any interesting changes. The most noticable was a bigger 'porch roof' over the cabin door which now extends the width of the cabin. Our's is like the one the Rangers but I do like the new style.

What a difference to sales an attitude can make!
Marc and Dominic were there with an R27 and an R29, Bill was babysitting a Cutwater C28 for Mike who was TCB elsewhere.

There was a continuous stream of people passing though those three boats, with very few leaving without a brochure or business card, and having been given whatever time was necessary to answer their questions. All were welcomed into to the cockpitby a friendly face........and nobody's footwear deemed to be unsuitable.

Contrast this with the American Tug moored alongside them. The only sign of life was two guys deep in the cabin, one tapping away on his laptop keyboard, the other engrossed in a cellphone conversation.

In the cockpit was a large sign. It read "NO SHOES!........NO CHILDREN!

I saw many people walk up the boat and prepare to step aboard, only to read the sign and carry on down the dock.
Ok, so many of them would have been 'looky loos', but what an attitude to display toward potential customers!

From what I can gather, Marc had a good show and will be continuing to live at a frenetic pace for the next few weeks.
Oh, and thanks for the tickets Marc!

Hi,
Can someone explain to me what the Gulf Coast Edition is referring to the Ranger 29?
Jeff

Thanks for the good words Martin, we try very hard to be the best Ranger Tug dealer with the highest level of service [before, during and after the sale],experience and friendliness in the Southeast.

Ill chime in there on the Gulf Coast Edition . The Gulf Coast Edition started as the Newport Edition . It is simply a feature set that includes a cushion set for the bow and steps, the Ultra Hide upholstery, the Karadon [epoxy] counter tops,a stainless face to the NovaKool fridge and a polished stainless anchor, an ice maker and a electric grill in the cockpit ,and what sets ours apart is the Galley . It has a convection/microwave/broiler and a two burner electric cooktop which we call our Florida Galley.
We just think it makes a great combination for our[mostly] warm weather climate .
There you have it !

Thanks to all that came to the show , we met many great folks ,current and future owners , and really enjoy St Pete . I'd also like to thank Steve Miglino at Richey Boat and Motor [our mid state service center] for prepping our fresh off the truck R 27 and getting it into the slip for us .

Re the raised and extended Weaver snap davits used on the swim platform; are these a Weaver catalog item or something custom for Ranger?

Not sure (I posted the picture) but Andrew could tell you.

Ranger Purchases them directly from Weaver.

Thanks Howard.

On our way home from St Pete we stopped by Richey Boat and Motor,Hudson Fl where our 27 currently is , took a number of shots [not the best, but you get the idea]and added a Davit folder to the Wefings Gallery .

Great photos Marc. Thanks.

Please tell us the make and model number of the dinghy?

Jim

That is the Ranger Tug factory dinghy offering . They sell the whole package complete with Hypalon hard bottom inflatable and the Weaver Snap Davit kit. Its an 8'6"boat for the 25s and 27s and I believe a 9'6" or 10' boat for the R 29 and 31 that we dont know about yet.
