Stadium Seats

With our new Ranger Tug 29S came2 portable "stadium seats" so called by the factory supply list.
Has anyone found a use for them on the boat? They are rather heavy to cart to the beach from a dock and impossible in our dinghy.
I'd like to modify the port single seat by making it bigger, wider really to enable me to tuck my dog in beside me. Any ideas?

We also have the an R29S with the "stadium seats". I think there purpose is to set up on the bow of the boat for relaxing with a beverage, watch the sunset and that sort of thing. We've used ours only a couple of times so we're still trying to figure out how important they are to be carrying around on the boat. When used they are handy and do make bow sitting a more comfortable experience.

Yes those are the ones. I would suggest you call Richard, the parts manager for Ranger Tugs. He is located at the Kent Washington facility. He’ll be able to help you out.

There's not a lot of room on the bow of the R-23. You might want to take a long hard look before you spend the $$.

Tony and Kathy are 100% right. Maybe look at a couple of bean bags from West Marine. They are @ $100 each right now and they can be used on the bow, the dock, and even work great in the cockpit as ottomans or as a seat by the swim platform access door. That location keeps you out of the wind.

Also, check out "Oniva Picnic Time Stadium Seats" on Amazon. They work great on our R27 Classic and cost about $100 a pair. They also fold flat for storage.

We have two West Marine Go anywhere chairs with arm rest. This is a comfortable chair to use when sitting on the Bow. We have two, the chairs stow flat in the cave. 149.99 normal price but go on sale often for 119.99.

We just sit on the throw cushions, never on the bow for all that long, easy to store, and they’re needed anyway.
