I've just gotta chime in here. My son researched and researched to find the perfect boat for us. Not too big, not too small. Comfort top of the list. Style. Yep, style. Husband had to have the electronic systems to keep him busy. Lots of em. I had to have a great view from the helm. Windows... lots of em. And a shower INSIDE. Of course, my son wanted an extra berth for times when he could join us. That is, until he decided he just had to have his own R21 to tag along! Anyway, back to the dream list. I wasn't even thinking wine cooler and microwave. Stuff you find on much larger boats. Flat screen tvs...you know, we're all shocked when we first see all the amenities packed into the R29.. I've seen forty footers without the capability and comfort of the R29. And you sure can't trailer a forty footer to Baja. So in less than a week, she arrives!! Poppy's Legacy. The perfect boat. She's getting her last minute additions...stuff to make her able to go "off the grid". So I thought I'd better post now. Cuz when she's delivered, you won't find me. I'll be anchored in some Pacific Northwest cove sipping wine and reading through a stack of books "to be read when I have time".
And as far as the Ranger Tug staff...those guys and gals building and constantly improving their American made product... they are a testament to the fact that if you "do it right", you will succeed...even in trying economic times. Here's a toast to you...Howard, Jeff and all the other great folks at Ranger. What an amazing privilege to work with you. And what a superior boat you build!
