Before I spend a lot of money to get a local fabricator to design and install a crane davit to hoist a RIB from the water and store it on top of the cabin roof, I thought it might be worthwhile to ask the factory if they had a source or recommendation. Here's a link to something similar, but not exactly the model I want: http://www.katomarine.com/powerdavits-standpipe.htm

I have a bunch of unused real estate on the coach roof: 6'1" fore and aft (behind the smoke stack and in front of the solar panel), and the full width of the boat. Plenty of room for the Highfield CL260 I've ordered. The dink won't be used often, and storing it on the roof will keep it out of the line of sight behind the boat, keep the swim platform free of obstruction, and also keep the dink from getting coated with diesel exhaust.

My intention is to mount the standpipe to the walkway on the port side of the boat at the rear most point of the cabin wall, with a bracket to connect it to the top of the cabin for stability.

Thanks in advance for all constructive suggestions!

Hello,

We do not reinforce this area for a dinghy crane, we have seen customers do it in the past but do not recommend this. If you decide to move forward with doing this I would strongly recommend getting something in writing that would cover you if there was something to happen and damage the boat. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Kevin Lamont
