starboard scupper flap at stern

I noticed the flap which prevents backflow when slowing down is reversed. It turns in instead of out when water backs into it. I can't get at it
turn it the other way. What is the name/number of it so I can order a new one. Probably with have to take the boat out of the water to get at
easily. I tried a plumbers auger from the drain in the cockpit but can't get it to go the other way.

Can you take a coat hanger bend a nice sharp return on it so that it has strength, slip it behind and then use that to pull the flap. The flap is a stiff rubber so it should be able to flex enough. If that doesn't work you could do two coat hangers together.
