Starting help!

Andrew,
Put the boat in the water yesterday. Must have cranked her over 50 times. Went to get the truck and trailer to load it back up. Hit the starter twice more and it fired off. Smoked like mad.
In other words I need the gadget and instructions to go with it. I hope I can do the repairs, not to good in tight spaces.
Maybe they would send you over to Montana for the week end. I'll take you fishing if we can get it running. 😉

It sounds like you have a bad ECM on your cummins engine. I will work with Cummins in the morning tomorrow and see what I can do to get someone out there quickly. Will let you know what I found out tomorrow.

Steve,
Did you try the fuel primer pump? Previous to getting our ECM replacement, pumping it a half dozen times or so seemed to help.

Pumping did not help in this case at all.
Andrew, There is a Cummins dealer in Kalispell ( or at least a Mechanic ) A dealer in Missoula. If I could get it fixed, I would do some fishing before my fishing buddy goes back to Florida.

I have this turned in for repair Darrel. As soon as I hear some dates I will let you know. Cummins NW and Cummins USA both have all of your information including all of your phone numbers. Hopefully they can get going on this sooner then later so you can catch me some fish to eat!
