I need a new 150 amp fuse for the stern thruster can you supply them?

Luke

You can also but them directly from SidePower. Beware....do not buy the generic 150 ANL fuses from West Marine or Amazon. They come close, but do not fit. You need the SidePower specific fuses.

Also the generic fuses will not handle the load. My boat came with a few from the previous owner, they had been cut to fit, they kept blowing. When I replaced them with the specific fuse there were no further issues.

150 amps should be the same. The only other differences would be if they are slow or fast fuses, I would assume

I had one blow 50 miles from home and found generic ones at marina
I had to dermel them to fit. Seems to be working fine .
I did however buy the correct ones and will swap them out.
What I'm saying is it works as short term fix but I would swap it out for the side power one asap

Thanks All. I'll give Richard a call.

I converted from Sidepower to ANL fuses years ago. The new fuse holders and a two lifetime supply of 150 Amp fuses was cheaper than 1 Sidepower fuse.

As long as you use quality fuses you should be in good shape. The SE30 thruster draws about 195A, this is still (barely) in the working area of a 150A ANL fuse. Look at the working area in the blow delay curve chart for Blue Sea ANL fuse.

A cheap fuse may have a different working area. Watch for corrosion on the terminals, this will generate heat and cause a premature fuse blow.

So, I am pretty new to my boat, 25' The boat has 150 amp thruster fuses and they are a bit touchy but I have learned to use them only very briefly. My question is, the boat came with a selection of spare parts, which included 2 -250Amp fuses. What are the 250 amp fuses for, I dont see any anywhere?
