Looking for place to store truck and trailer for the summer in middle or western part of the Eire Canal. I would like to do a mini loop through the Canadian Canals, and Lake Champlain and maybe do the fingerlakes in fall before the locks close, Suggestions !

Check with Seneca State Park (on Seneca Lake) - when we did the Erie Canal, they offered free storage if you bought a night or two of slip rental. It was not in a locked/gated area, but it was right near their shop, so there was always someone from the park around during the day. We had no issues, and the price was right. Their ramp was a bit snug for our C-Dory, but doable. The marina in the State Park is nice, the people at the park office were great to deal with.

Provision in Geneva, easy first lock transit to Seneca Falls, into Cayuga Lake and north to the Erie Canal.

Check Mid-Lakes Navigation. We rented Lockmaster Canal Boats from them twice - and they have a full service marina set up for storage, setup, and repair services.

They are a second/third generation operation, build their own purpose Canal Boats in steel that are patterned after English Narrow Boats - very good craftsman, very, very nice people. Everyone seems family.

Mid Lakes Marina is the sales/service point. http://www.midlakesnav.com/mid-lakes-marina
