Stuff Boat Horn ?

Has anyone figured out a material to stuff into the horn trumpet that lets out the sound, but keeps out salt air. We lost the original horn rounding Cape alazo in a 25 kt SE, about a month later the electronics failed due to salt incursion. Then the Sea Dog horn worked for 2 years, has now been replaced with a Victory dual trumpet. looking around for some not too dense foam or something.

I have gone through 2 horns on my C30 CB. They fail almost as immediately as they get wet. So frustrating. I would rather have an air horn but that's so much more involved...

Sea Dog sells stainless caps, though they don't look watertight.

We tried a small piece of foam in each horn bell, but it deadened the sound to much.
