Ram mentioned the use of suction cups in the Rear View Mirror thread - and their tendency to eventually fall off.
I was at the St. Pete boat show recently and also at a bike rally last weekend where the Seasucker line of suction cups were being advertised and demonstrated. Anyone have experience with these? Seemed to me like a very creative and practical invention - basically a simple, built-in pump to create a vacuum, an indicator to show when you need to pump again to maintain vacuum and a lift tab to release pressure and remove.
Holding power is impressive. They have various dedicated systems for bike racks, kayaks, rod holders etc and also general purpose cups you can use for "custom' applications. Their iPad system looks like something that will work well on my Florida boat. Web site - http://www.seasucker.com
