Sun saver Duo and Morningstar RM-1

My RM-1 was not showing amps from the solar panel or battery voltage. Emailed Morningstar. Did a reboot of Sun Saver Duo and it fixed the issue. To do so disconnect the hot wires from the Dou in this order. Solar panel, Battery 1. Battery 2. Then reconnect hot lead on Bat 1. Then hot lead Bat 2. Check RM-1. Should work to show Battery voltage. If so reconnect Solar wire. It worked for me. To my disappointment the out out of the solar panel is less than an amp. Ugh

Less than 1 amp could be OK if the batteries are already fully charged. You can turn on about any electrical device and see if the solar current increases. If the solar current is still low, check for shadows on the solar panel. Even a small shadow (such as 2 square inches) can have a drastic affect on solar power delivered.
