Anyone with a newer R21 EC with the larger swim platform have the rails installed? Would like to know pros and cons of this option and what was the added cost? (Seems to be included now.) Seems like they would be great for mounting a grill or for using the platform for fishing, but may be in the way for a scuba dive launch platform.

$640 when they were an option. Don't fish, dive or grill on the boat, but they make using the swim ladder extremely safe and easy; wouldn't be without them. Could be in the way when using a dinghy, but don't have one of those either

What CN said above.

I find them very useful for the grill, a place to mount fishing rod holders, and whether sitting or standing on the SP, the rails are a VERY handy...handhold...makes 'hands-free' use possible since you can 'lean' against the rails whilst casting, netting, gaffing, etc. I like the rails on my boat.

I have a grill mounted on my 2016 R21, can't figure how to post them, send me your email and I'll send pictures. You can PM me or put your email on this thread.

Thanks, Mike
