I just purchased some Boeshield T-9. I’d like to know how some of you use it. On the windless, battery connections- other uses?? Do you like it?
Thanks,
Jay

I spray the entire engine, motor mounts, bus bars / battery terminals / ACRs (after making sure all connections are tight), hydraulic connections on steering and trim tabs, exterior case fastenings for the genset, stuffing box (after cleaning), all bonding connections that I can reach, and more. Basically, treat anything accessible from the cockpit area that might corrode. HTH, Gary

Thank you Gary! I have heard a lot about it and as you say, it sounds like you can use it on anything. Have you been using it long? Are you happy with the results?
Jay

I started using it last summer on recommendation from a mechanic I found who learned the art in Puerto Rico. Stuff works great and I don't see much "sweat" on the metals anymore either. His only warning was to avoid the starter as you don't want to get that stuff inside it and onto the windings. G

Perfect thank you Gary!

I have used T-9 Boeshield for decades on metals that I did not want to rust or corrode, including electrical connections as indicated by Gary. I don't use it often ( our fresh water boats have always been stored indoors and kept dry so we have not had any corrosion issues with minimal use ), but I also have never experienced any adverse effects from using it.

Thank you! Sound like I should have bought more than 1 can.
