Just sharing an experiance . We found that we had no overhead table lamp or wall mounted sink lamp tonight .. So of course thinking wiring issue .. Then I found the LED on the sink lamp would go on and off with the switch on the overhead lamp base at the table.. So now I'm sure a wiring issue.. And confused.. Luckily after removing the overhead table lamp and seeing nothing bad I started at the sink lamp changing bulbs... and then as soon as the new bulb was installed in the sink lamp everything works now .. So it seems it's wired like the old Christmas tree lights . If one bulb is out the whole string goes out... In this case it is a short string 🙂 just thought it might help others if those two fixtures are both not working some day... It could just be my boat wired that way but maybe not..

That seems odd that the fixtures would be wired in series. You may want to check that out. They may be wired in series by accident. What are your replacement bulbs voltage rating? If they are 12 volts then they may be working, but if in series they are using half the power each and not putting out enough light. If they are 6 volts then the wiring would be correct in series, but my intuition says something is wrong.

If someone else has a r29 and is board . Take the bulb out of the light over the sink and let me know if the light over the table works Maybe it is just me 🙂
Thanks

Hmm, that's really odd. My 2013 has separate switches for these two light fixtures on the 12 volt panel. I can certainly run each independently. What year is your boat??

Mine is 2011 Been thinking it has to be feeding power over the negative side for that to happen. The dimmer has always caused the radio to hum when it's on and accessory is used I just figured it was the dimmer. Maybe that is the issue.. Bulbs all work fine and are bright.. I'll dig into it at some point and see what I can find

Andiamo was built in 2011 and is a 2012 model and have not been able to replicate your situation. If the lights above the galley, the table light is not affected.

I tried it myself tonight and it didn't do it Very strange.. I think I'll quit the heavy drugs 🙂 .. There is something a miss and I will figure it out eventually but everything is as it should be now
Thanks everyone I will post when I figure it out

Here is a thought. Sometimes my LED bulbs on my two different sconce lamps go out. They don't burn out, just go out. After turning them back into the socket they work again. I suspect that they either loosen in the socket from vibration or slight corrosion builds up. So, initially I was surprised that your LED bulb would have burned out because they last for many many hours. Now I am thinking that perhaps you just needed to turn things up and coincidentally everything started working. Do you still have the old bulb to try it in another spot?

Our R29 is the same. Our dinette/sink lamp cause buzzing and work intermittently. You're not crazy. 😀

Anyone know how to get the dinette cushion off so we can access the AC|DC panel?

I found the problem with mine. It turned out the breaker on the panel was no good. I was able to remove the breaker and take it apart and fix it. No more issues. If you remove the breaker panel you can swap out one of the other breakers marked spare or accessory... if the are free, and see if this resolves it for you as well
The pieces on the panel that say 12 volt or 120 volt pop off and there are screws behind, you remove to access the panel
Hope this helps
