Tacoma Surveyor and Volvo Mechanic

I am looking for a recommendation for a surveyor in Tacoma Washington. Has anyone used Terry Larson?
I am also looking for a Volvo mechanic to check an engine before I buy a Ranger diesel 29.

I can recommend Wayne Gilham -- very knowledgeable surveyor, and well-known in the area as an RBAW officer. Did a very comprehensive delivery survey for us. Also very familiar with Ranger Tugs. If I recall correctly, he works from Gig Harbor but covers the whole area. Info:

I have used Terry Larson and was very impressed with his competence.

I used Alison Mazon to conduct a survey on my Cutwater immediately prior to the expiration of the warranty. She did a great job, spend time explaining her findings and helped me find thousands of dollars of items that were fixed under warranty (before it was too late).

Also I use Pacific Power Group for my Volvo engine needs. They are professional and know what they are doing.

Here’s another vote for Alison Mazon. She is in Portland, but does a lot of work in Washington (and the West Coast and nationally, for that matter). She stays busy, so it might be hard to get on her schedule on short notice. Her associate, Pat Devlin, is also a good option, and might (or might not) have better availability. Great experience with Wayne Gillam in Tacoma. He did our R31 and was super thorough. He will send you a sample survey in advance of booking to show what he does on Ranger tugs. Took about 5 hours including sea trial and haul & hang for hull inspection.
