Talk to Garmin at the Bremerton Rendezvous

Thanks for doing this Bruce! Sign the "Celtic Sun" up for a visit! - Gerry

Please add Restless to the list. We are interested in any updates and have a few reset questions.

Thanks,

Claire and Richard Dainard

Good Evening Bruce --

Please add Hoku Kai to the list vessels to be visited by the Garmin staff. We're interested in chart updates, particularly enhanced coverage for British Columbia waters, if available, and use of our Macbook as a computer interface.

Thanks,

Lois & Dan Cheney

Hi Bruce,
Please put Bella down for a visit by Garmin.
I want them to look at why my radar often has problems transmitting while other times it works just fine.
Also, I would like them to explain how to retrace a route already taken
Finally, I want to see how to avoid the Guide To function causing a sharp turn when reengaging.
We arrive on Friday am.

Thanks,

David

Thanks Bruce. Add Tugnacious to the list of folks welcoming Garmin on board. We will arrive mid-day Friday.

Not too late to sign up for one-on-one time with Garmin. Just reply to this thread.

Thanks,

Bruce

I wonder if a group seminar night be a good idea with Garmin. Allan

I've been out on our R-25 for past 2 days. My Garmin 5212 and GHc-10 are running v7.4. I've used the Guide To navigation several times and the plotted course has on 2 occasions coincided with anchored and fixed pole navigational markers. Without taking manual override of the autopilot a collision would result. The 5212 did in both cases indicate Hazardous object ahead. Even so I find this to be an issue that Garmin needs to address at Bremerton. Thank you. 😱

Per the event schedule, Garmin will be giving a two hour seminar on Saturday from 10-12.

Cheers,

Lets put Willies Tug down for time with the Garmin Reps.

Thanks

Please include the Circle T on the Garmin rep visit list. Thanks.

Please add Sea Ranger to the Garmin list. I need some auto pilot info and a check on my software update status.

Bruce. Ya think a smart guy likeme would look at the schedule? Allan

Could you add me to the list for a check to see if I need any updates for a 740S.

Also have recently had a problem with the maps not appearing although the boat does appear.

Please add Misty Blue to the Garmin Rep visitations. I need software updates and possibly a chart bearing line adjustment.

I have two SD cards with the Garmin v7.4 software. Anyone is welcomed to use these for upgrading their Garmin 5212 and/or Auto Pilot hardware at the Bremerton meeting.

Just let me know -- Boat name LAXEY (with Sunset Yellow dinghy on swimstep) -- and will likely be docked on the Bremerton breakwater somewhere.

I've talked to Andrew about a radio problem that is common to at least one other Ranger Tug owner, namely that reception is possible only when the squelch allows static to come through. He has ordered a replacement and I assume Garmin is aware and planning to address the issue. Don Haueisen, Barbara Ann, R27
