Tandem Kayak on top rack

Hey Friends, I just bought a 2015 r-27. I have a seaward G3 tandem kayak. I want to put that G3 on top for adventures - it is 23’ long and about 100#. So what I think is I should just buy a new kayak that is super light and folders or inflates - that would be smarter - but I am not planning on doing that.

So, I am thinking abut putting a rack over the awning in the back then have some sort of Davit to haul the beast, affectionately known as the lemon drop, up to the top and place it one the racks. Any thoughts? Have you done it? Any input is welcome!

I know its a year late but did you make it work? I'm interested to see what you did. I have a long surfski (21ft) but it only weighs 30 lbs.
