Tape Paint or Gelcoat

I currently own a 2010 25 Classic. I had a bit of adventure associated with Hurricane Sally and the boat is currently on the trailer at the local fiberglass shop. Thankfully cosmetic. The hull color is navy blue and the stripe around the cabin is tan. The question...is the tan stripe gelcoat tape or paint? i am considering my options when repairing that stripe. Thank you in advance.

On my two Ranger Tugs and every other one I’ve seen, the tan stripe has been gel coat. Glad your damage was only cosmetic!

I agree on the gelcoat with the addition that sometimes there is an added 1/4” vinyl tape added around the transition between the tan and boat color. I think is done when things don’t marry up between the two colors exactly correct.
