Taupe gelcoat repair

I just made a small but fairly deep scratch on the taupe colored hull of our Cutwater 28. Is there a repair kit I can purchase from Cutwater?

Thank you for reaching out to us. We can certainly get you the right color but they wont let us ship ground and has to ship hazardous freight. If you don't mind, please forward me some high quality photos and I will take a peek to make sure it isn't something that can simply be sanded or polished out.

We had a fairly substantial scratch on our blue hulled Cutwater 28 that I assumed would need a gelcoat repair. I got a little blue gelcoat from the factory, but lo and behold the scratch completely disappeared with sanding and polishing a the local boat yard so hopefully that is all you will need to do.

What grade of sandpaper did you use and what brand of polish?
I have a 2017 CW 28 that unfortunately has a few anchor chain scratches,(my fault) on the gelcoat.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll get the photos to you but it’s more of a small gash than a scratch. I’m guessing it’s an eighth of an inch deep and an inch long. Can you give me an idea of what it will cost to ship the gel coat? I live just north of San Francisco.
