Teak oil?

Hi,
My new 25 SC is on the hard awaiting commissioning by Chesapeake Ranger. Areas of teak seem to be discolored. Should the teak be wiped down with oil during the commissioning? If so, just a regular teak oil?
Our hold up seems to be the company doing the bottom painting as they are very busy at the huge yard in downtown Annapolis.
I'm doing my best to be patient as we can't wait to get our new boat in the water! My wife says I'm not doing such a great job! 🙂

I have used it all and only use Minwax teak oil on my exterior teak it is Awesome.

On interior teak I like another Minwax product Helmsman poly varnish it has UV protection and is easy to apply with a foam brush.

Clean the teak exterior with Soft Scrub with bleach and a stiff brush keeping everything washed down with the hose

Speaking of Awesome go to the Dollar Tree store and buy Awesome cleaner for $1 a bottle I use it undiluted for most things but add water if cleaning something very delicate.

P.s. grab a brush and roller paint the bottom it's not Rocket surgery

Bill, See my previous comments on Formby's Tung(not teak) Oil. While awaiting my new R-29 the factory has generously sent me a piece of scrap teak which they use in their boats. I am in the process of placing several coats (comes in a matte finish or gloss) of finish in order to decide how I will eventually go. I have no doubts (now that I have my hands on the actual wood) that Formby's would be an excellent choice. Stay tuned. Gary
